The Department of Therapeutic Radiology
(Hunter Radiation Therapy) is
an integral part of the Yale Comprehensive
Cancer Center providing primary and secondary radiation therapy treatment
to oncology patients referred to the Yale-New Haven Medical Center. All forms
of external beam and intracavitary or interstitial therapy are available and
are provided by an experienced staff of highly skilled professionals.
The department is involved in teaching and research in radiation therapy, radiobiology and radiological physics. The department operates the state's only school for Radiation Therapy Technology and its only Radiation Therapy Residency Program.
