Clinical Investigator Track

The Yale Department of Therapeutic Radiology provides a unique opportunity for trainees interested in pursuing a career as clinical investigators. All trainees have 10–12 months of protected research time, and interested/select candidates will participate in the coursework of the Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholars Program at Yale. Specifically trainees will take courses in high level statistics and research methods during the 6 month coursework period. This intensive didactic experience will allow the trainee to develop the expertise necessary to design studies and analyze data more independently. Trainees will also be expected to formulate 2 research projects prior to entering the didactic program. The projects will be further developed and refined during the research elective with the support of 1-2 faculty mentors from the Department of Therapeutic Radiology. Costs associated with the program, such as books and other necessary support are covered by the Department of Therapeutic Radiology. A maximum of one trainee per year will be considered. For more information, please contact Lynn D. Wilson, MD, MPH (Vice Chairman and Clinical Director) 203-737-1202.
